Biography

Andrew Geiger’s practice is primarily focused on the representation of plaintiffs in pharmaceutical litigation and litigation of product liability cases on behalf of those harmed by defective products.

Current product liability cases include the following:

• SSRI-related Birth Defects: Paxil, Zoloft, Prozac, Lexapro, Effexor
• DePuy/Stryker/Biomet/Zimmer Hip Revisions
• YAZ/Yasmin/Ocella Blood Clots
• Transvaginal Mesh Failures
• Actos-induced bladder cancer

Andrew is actively involved in several pharmaceutical multi-district litigation (MDL) cases, including In re: DePuy Orthopaedics ASR Hip Implant Litigation MDL 2197; In re: Yasmin and Yaz (Drospirenone) Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation MDL No. 2100; In re: Chantix (Varenicline) Products Liability Litigation MDL 2092; In Re: Zoloft (Sertraline Hydrochloride) Products Liability Litigation MDL No. 2342; In re NuvaRing Products. Liability Litigation MDL No. 1964; and In Re: Avandia Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation MDL 1871.

Prior to joining Allan Berger & Associates, Andrew worked in public finance in New York City, monitoring the credit quality and diversity of healthcare portfolios for one of the leading insurers of U.S. municipal bonds. Andrew also worked as a litigation paralegal for Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, LLP in Manhattan, where he assisted in all stages of large commercial litigation matters, including written discovery, depositions, and trial preparation and strategy.

Andrew was born in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 1999, and his J.D. from Tulane Law School in 2002. While attending Tulane Law School, Andrew served as Executive Editor of the Sports Lawyers Journal, and was certified by the World Arbitration & Mediation Report as an International Commercial Arbitrator.

Andrew is admitted to practice in New York and Louisiana.
